Who was Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani
Abdul Qadir Jilani (ra) (also Jilani, Gilani, Gilani, Al-Gilani) was a Sufi sheikh and founder of the Sufi order of Qadiri (Silsila) Gilan. He was born in Nif, a village in the Gilan region of Persia (north of today Iran) in 1077, the father of the Gilanis (RA). Hazrat Abu Salih Musa al Husayni, was of the Sayyid clan, and his mother’s name was Bibi Ummul Khair Fatima.
He died in a temple in Baghdad on the Sunday evening 1166 (8th Rabi al-Awal 561 AH -) at the age of eighty-nine and was buried in a shrine in his madrasah in Baghdad. Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani (born 1077 – 78, Nif – Persia)
Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani’s early life
Many Muslim scholars call Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani Sharif and blood relative of Prophet Muhammad, but such a statement is unlikely and of Persian origin. His mother was a saintly lady and also the daughter of a famous saint of the time; therefore his holy miracles began to take place immediately after his birth: the brave one who cleansed his heart of non-Allah and holds the sword of Tawhid and the guardian of Sharia.

His legacy
Sheikh Qadiriyya had separate branches by the end of the 15th century and spread to Morocco, Spain, Turkey, India, India, the Safavid dynasty in Baghdad in 1508 to 1534, Somalia and modern Mali. Qadiriyya flourished after surviving the Mongol conquest of Baghdad in 1258 and remained an influential Sunni man.
