Sahana Vavatu Sanskrit Shloka – English Meaning
Shanti Mantra known as “Om Sahana Vavatu” is a peace mantra taken from the Yajurveda and Taittiriya Upanishad and recited as a devotion during the prayer at the beginning of each school lesson. It will also be recited during the prayers before the school starts. Jon uses this mantra every day during the open and closed classes.
Teachers should share shanti mantra with their students in morning, because it means “Let’s grow together.”. Singing this mantra at the beginning of each class creates a healthy energy among teachers and students and the process of learning and practicing yoga is full of enthusiasm and harmony. Sastra is the study of how each of us can communicate and benefit from each other, so it should not be a mere word, astu, be it tejasvi, meaningful, nau, all of us.
Om Sahana Vavatu Mantra is a powerful force, and creating them comes from a kind of source of total understanding and sound. Share mantra stories with students from time to time, Vikashananda suggests.
